No Fees for Settlements
Importantly, we don’t charge any fees for settlements or participate in any debt reduction directly or through leveraging violations. Our focus is solely on helping members regain control of their finances without adding more financial burden.
Legal Subscription Plan Referral of Suspected Violations
My Card Shield Consumer Advocates will check if your rights are being respected by creditors and collectors, following state and federal rules. They use special technology to monitor emails and phone calls. If they find any problems, Resolve Law Group, who manages your legal subscription, will look into it for free. Also, with your Card Shield membership, you get the Resolve Law Group Legal Subscription Plan. It can help you defend against creditor lawsuits for
debts over $3000, if they ever decide to sue you for not paying.
Mail Forwarding & Monitoring
My Card Shield gives all its members a service that forwards their mail. This service scans and watches over any letters they get from creditors and collectors to see if there are any problems or violations. It helps members avoid the hassle and expenses of dealing with their mail themselves and scanning it up to us. Members can easily see their scanned documents on our safe website.
Personal Answering Service (PAS)
We give each member a special local phone number to use for dealing with calls from creditors and collectors. We keep an eye on when these calls come in to make sure they’re following the rules. If we find they are not, we refer the potential violation to your legal subscription plan with Resolve Law Group. If collectors call, they can talk directly to our team of consumer advocates at the My Card Shield call center.
Collector & Creditor Notification of Enrollment
Members notify their creditors, collectors, and debt buyers of the member’s enrollment in our monitoring service. This cuts down on harassing and unwanted calls to members.
Assistance With Member Verification of Debts
We help our members verify the amount of debt with the original creditor before they try to settle it. This makes sure that any potential settlement is based on the correct balance.
Before our members try to settle any debts, we make sure that the debt collector actually has the authority to collect that debt. This helps ensure that any settlement efforts are legitimate
Assistance With Disputing Debt
We help our members dispute charges that they didn’t make or authorize according to their
agreement or contract.
Statute Of Limitation Awareness and Notification Service.
We give our members information specific to their state about Statutes of Limitations. This helps them figure out if the debt can’t be collected anymore according to the time limits set by the state.
Additional Services
We offer educational reports on specific laws like the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act
(FDCPA) and the Federal Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)* to help you understand your rights.
We can forward settlement proposals to Resolve Law Group on your behalf to make sure your
debts or judgments are settled correctly, and follow-ups are done right.

process.

Card Shield assists members in providing documentation to their debt collectors and creditors,
